Stephen Antonson is a custom plaster artist that makes functional pieces inspired by the French and specifically the artist Hermann Obrist.
In 3 words, Stephen was asked to describe his work: the answer was “subtle, handmade, elegant”.
“I love how versatile it (plaster) is. You can sculpt it, tint it, paint with it. I really like the fact that it is such a prosaic material but can be shaped into pieces that belie its humble makeup.”
